Furniture and Decoration Program Students Take Technical Trip to ANAMOB Fair

On October 9, 2026, the Furniture and Decoration Program—part of the Department of Materials and Material Processing Technologies at Mersin University’s Vocational School of Technical Sciences—organized a technical visit to the ANAMOB Furniture Fair, held at the Kayseri Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) International Fair and Congress Center.

The technical visit was attended by faculty members Mustafa Ar, Tekin Bülent Geygel, Mehmet Hakan Kılıç, Zekeriya Sahillioğlu, and Celal Karayel; staff members İrfan Yıldız, Hüseyin Şahin, and Osman Ocak; and 21 students.

During the ANAMOB fair—one of the most significant furniture exhibitions in Anatolia, held from October 7 to 11, 2026—the students had the opportunity to examine furniture production technologies, a wide variety of materials, modern design approaches, and current industry trends firsthand.

By visiting the booths of leading companies in the sector, the students gained insights from industry representatives regarding production processes, R&D initiatives, new collections, market dynamics, and marketing strategies. This experience allowed them to compare the knowledge acquired in their theoretical coursework with real-world industrial applications and engage directly with experienced professionals in the field.

The technical visit was designed to help students gain a deeper understanding of the industry, observe contemporary production and design practices, and contribute to their professional development.
